We first ask you to secure any pets and children. We don't want them running out the door or to be scared during the move.
We also ask that any wires or hazardous areas be noted to us in advance to keep our team safe.
We ask that you prepare all pathways, show us areas that you don't want to be touched, and carefully note items not for moving.
Please make sure that you are aware of your confirmed day and time of your move.
Please note upon arrival of anything that we are to NOT touch or move.
Please point out any fragile, valuable, or broken items upon arrival. If we notice them, our Team Leader will take pictures during our moving process.
Please note any special needs during the move (example: bilingual, etc).
We ask that all items for moving be packed prior to our move teams arrival. If you are not prepared for the move, additional pricing to assist in packing may be accrued.
Please have an adult age 18 + at the move site upon our arrival that is authorized to oversee your move.
3. After The Move
We pay attention to details but sometimes items get broken or scratched in transition of a move. We ask that you inspect all of your items before we leave your final destination.
Your satisfaction is our priority, please let us know how we did by emailing us or leaving a Yelp review.

First-In Moving Co.'s Top 10 Tips For a Smooth Move:
Use smaller boxes for heavier items. This will help prevent boxes breaking or becoming overloaded from the weight.
Use a labeling system that is easy for movers to understand. We recommend either writing a Number or Name for Each Room designating where the boxes need to go for a smooth unloading process and easier unpacking process for yourself or our team. Also, mark "this side up" and "fragile" or "extra heavy" for the movers and your unpacking team.
For appliances and mechanical beds, make sure all connections are disconnected and secured prior to your move. Remember to let a freezer sit unplugged for at least 2 hours before a move.
Remove loose shelves from bookcases, entertainment centers, cabinets, and hutches to prevent them from falling on you or our team.
We recommend before you move that you do a walk-through of the location where the items are being moved to. Start to visualize where you would like furniture to be placed and map out your label system (room numbers or names) for where you would like boxes to be taken to by your moving team.
Make a box to "Open First" with necessities like soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, scissors, chargers, important paperwork, spare keys, remotes, valuables, first aid items, medicines, and a change of clothes.
If you are moving out of a building with an elevator, ask in advance to have the elevator put on hold as a "Service Elevator" for your move.
Filing cabinets, safes, and gun safes need to be completely emptied and the contents need to be packed in advance for ease of the move and to protect your items.
Remove any flammables, liquids, propane tanks, matches, lighters, and gases prior to the move. Remember these items might be found in BBQ pits, fire pits, tiki torches, and lawn equipment. These liquids cannot be moved in a moving truck.
Finally - Check under beds, dressers, any hiding spaces, backyard and front yard, and don't forget the attic!
